Activities

In my care your child will enjoy indoor and outdoor play, walks, creative activities, songs, stories and trips to local shops, parks and the library.
Children up to 5 years old will follow the Early Years Foundation Stage.
We may have monthly or termly themes to guide our activities and we also celebrate various festivals throughout the year.

Children make friends with the other mindees and learn important social skills of sharing and caring in a small mixed-age group. Your child will be like another family member and may help look after family pets and help pick fruit or vegetables.
Activities are planned with your little one in mind - children learn best through their own interests; so if you have a train enthusiast then we will make trips to the station, count the number of wagons and read train stories; if your child is into princesses we might take a walk in some enchanted woods, make our own crowns and dress up.

A day at Rebekah's would normally start with free play to settle everyone in. Mornings are good for going out - maybe a trip to the library or a toddler group or a walk to look for signs of spring. After lunch - maybe a picnic in the summer - little ones may take a well-earned rest and older children can undertake longer activities such as model-making or baking something for afternoon snack
